Bios’ of Key Speakers
Myriam Chen CEO & Chair of the Board of LineBeyond
Myriam is co-Founder and CEO of LineBeyond and is responsible for clients¡¯ relationship development and support. Prior to founding LineBeyond, Myriam was co-Founder and CEO of Chen & McGinley, Inc., one of California¡¯s most successful and recognized IT consulting companies. Through its 16 years of operating history, Chen & McGinley received numerous awards for outstanding service and quality from Bank of America, IBM, Ernst & Young, Arthur Anderson and PG&E. The company was recognized for five consecutive years as one of the fastest growing companies in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times. In 1998, Chen & McGinley was voted by Inc. 500 Magazine as one of the top 500 women-owned businesses in the United States.
Shaoher Pan, Chief Technology Officer of Spatial Photonics
Dr. Shaoher Pan is the founder of the Spatial Photonics, and current chairman of Bay Area Chapter and board of director of Society of Information Display (SID), an international display community for the professionals in all of the technical and business disciplines that relate to display research, design, manufacturing, applications, marketing, and sales. Dr. Pan is also a member of board of director of Silicon Valley Chinese Engineers Association (SCEA).
Prior to SP, Dr. Pan also founded XHP Microsystems and served as the president & CEO and of the company since its inception. Prior to starting XHP, now Miradia, Dr. Pan was employed at Applied Materials, a semiconductor equipment manufacturer, where he held a variety of positions, most recently as senior manager in the corporate engineering for Applied Materials¡¯ etch and deposition technologies.
In early 90s, Dr. Pan was a member of research scientist for IBM Corporation. Prior to joint IBM, Dr. Pan was a research assistant professor of Physics Department in the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Pan received a M.S. and a Ph.D. degree in physics from the City University of New York, and a MBA from Santa Clara University. Dr. Pan holds more than 25 US patents primarily in semiconductor manufacturing and display devices.
