Hong Lei (Iris Lei) - President(•þéL), SVIBA

Ms Iris Lei has been actively contributing to SVIBA for over 10 years. She started her activities as a regular member in SVIBA, she successfully led the China Business Exchange Group including leading Silicon Valley VCs and entrepreneurs to participate China Hi-tech Fair in Shenzhen, 2003.

Like most of our members, Iris is an entrepreneur. She start her own business after she met her

business partners in SVIBA. She is founders of two companies including 99people, Inc., a leading Chinese Web Media in Silicon Valley. Iris used to work as a web developer at Keane, Inc., a public IT consulting company.

Iris received her M.S. degree from Marshall Business School of University of Southern California (USC), and her B.A. degree from Wuhan University in China.



Charles Wang - Founder & CEO, SVIBA

Charles is the founder and CEO of SVIBA (www.sviba.org). In his leadership Charles has been promoting the business exchange between the IT industry leaders of US and China since 2001. Charles is a high powered technology leader with proven CIO/CISO track record from over 20 years of experience in R & D, engineering, consulting practice, technology development and management. Charles holds CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CCIE11227(R/S), a masters degree in computer science from the University of British Columbia and three other engineering masters and bachelor degrees.

 


Ming Lei - VP, SVIBA

Ming Lei is an internet software veteran in Silicon Valley. He currently works for Google. He co-founded an E-commerce site
Bravisa.com in 2005 and have more than 10 years of industrial experience working for companies including Microsoft and Oracle. Ming has received wide recognition and numerous awards for his distinguished technological contribution and engineering leadership in various companies and


organizations. He has published over 10patents in the areas of HTTP server, Social Network, Internet Publishing and Internet Ads.

Besides his full-time job, Ming devotes much time and energy to the Chinese communities and professional organizations in the SF Bay Area.

Ming holds a M.S. in Computer Science from University of California, Riverside.



Ye Yuan - EVP, Partnership Development

Ye Yuan currently is the General Manager of 99People Inc. (www.99people.com), which is one of the largest Chinese web media companies in Silicon Valley. Prior of joining 99people Inc.,

 


Xueling Zhang- CFO, SVIBA

Xueling Zhang is a financial advisor in Ameriprise Financial, Inc., which is America¡¯s largest financial planning company. Xueling has more than 10 years experiences in financial planning, investment, Tax and accounting field.

She holds a BS degree in Insurance from Changchun Tax Institute and a MS degree in Finance from Fudan University . She

worked for PICC, the biggest insurance company in China , for 4 years. After coming to the US , Xueling learned Accounting in UCLA and passed the CPA exam in 2002. She worked in CPA firm and tax firm before joining Ameriprise Financial, a Fortune 500 company founded in 1894.


Gordon Tian - CTO, SVIBA

Uniquely, versatile technologist with an enviable track record for creating innovative new products, and rapidly bringing them to market in alignment with business goals while serving as CTO/VP of Engineering. During 15+ years in software engineering roles, I have won numerous awards, patents in healthcare and decision engineering applications while working for the likes of IBM, Mayo Clinic, Northwest Airlines, Roundtree Lab,Inc., Assia, Inc., NewScale, Inc., DecisionStreet.


I am an expert in scalable database design and management((SQL and NOSQL), cloud computing, data sharding, iphone/android/blackberry/facebook apps, LAMP, Java/Scala, .Net., Ruby, Python, Laszlo/Flex . Hands-on knowledge of designing and implementing highly scalable web applications supporting millions of concurrent users online.



Frank Yu - VP of Business Development, SVIBA

Frank is a senior architect with 11 years of experience in different industries like consulting & software outsourcing and primarily healthcare IT. He is the co-founder of ForgeLife, a silicon valley-based startup specializing in medical content integration. As a portal subject matter expert with proven track record, he manages multiple onshore and offshore teams to build portal and content management systems for his clients.


He is enthusiastic about community services and has served many years in different organizations. He is currently on the executive board of Nanjing University Friendship Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for students with financial difficulty.

Frank holds a B.S. degree in Biology from Nanjing University and M.S. degrees in Neuroscience and Computer Sciences. He is one of the co-authors of Liferay User Interface Development book, which was published by PACKT Publishing in November 2010.



Cathy Luo - VP, SVIBA

Cathy held MBA in finance/accounting, BA in logistics. Cathy has been working as a financial controller for several start-ups in online media field. Cathy has domain knowledge of Taxation, financial management and broad knowledge of online media social network advertising.

Currently, Cathy hold a position as finance controller for an online media company,a board member and CFO of start-up company.


Previously, Cathy has worked for multinational corporations such as Visa and DHL, involved global expansion and logistics.

Cathy also has strong working knowledge in international trade and global business operation.



   SVIBA promotes the exchange of information businesses between Silicon Valley and China. SVIBA also promtoes entrepreneurial spirit by using our platform to look for your VC fund, your partners, and information resources
