Mr. Cai practices corporate and intellectual property (patent and licensing transaction) law with Fortune Law Group of which he is a founder. A majority of his clients are high technology emerging growth companies in the areas of e-commerce software, integrated circuit design, medical device, network and wireless communication technology.

Prior to starting his own practice, Mr. Cai was an attorney at Morrison & Foerster LLP, one of the largest law firm in California, where he counseled clients on public security offerings (both issuer and underwriter sides), venture financing, general corporate matters, intellectual property licensing, and international joint ventures. As a registered patent attorney, Mr. Cai also prosecuted patent applications and provided patent counseling in areas of medical devices and semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Mr. Cai also practiced law at another prestigious Silicon Valley law firm Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich LLP, where he represented various high technology start-ups and S&P500 companies in intellectual property licensing transactions. One of his clients, a wireless software infrastructure company, delivered the best IPO performance in 1999 according to Barron’s.

Mr. Cai holds a Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia. He also holds engineering degrees from Tong Ji University (B.S.) and Villanova University (M.S.). He is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
